Failure in Iraq, debates about freedom, expenses scandals, sex advice … the Romans seem versions of ourselves. But then there’s the slavery and the babies on rubbish heaps. We need to understand ancient Rome, but should we take lessons from it?...

2 cool untold stories :

I getting out of the Temple Of War in the middle of Rome, Titus was asked: what do you think of the judeans? Titus answered: they spend too much time in their Torah.

Cheesy

II on a far eastern field, Imperial ROME came to visit by, reviewing the troop the man in charge of the defense of the Empire (it was still SPQR), ask a man: how is going the fight? (understand that it was in the middle of a camp on a frontier with some tough mofs), the soldier removed his helmet and said: I am your son. the story goes that a few years earlier the young kid desabused by the corruption in the ETERNAL CITY decided to flee for the Army, he had a beautiful carrier, raising among the rank, Honorfull, Dutyfull, he was among the proud of his Legion. Imagine the shock of the father (I don't remember the name of the function title) but he was a roman first, and it said that he hunging his son he droped a single tear of (some said of sadness, some said of joy): one sure thing it became know as the crocodile tear...

ahh ROME untold Smiley.

theme: why romans didn't bury their enemies Cheesy.

It's time for another untold roman story with zio-christians in it Cheesy ...

So in ROME some youngs found boring to drink wine all day long, so they decided to visit egypt (there was a rumor of nice beauty product)... so they went to the port and learned that the Empire was in motion near judea-galilea. how great, how safe...

so they set sail and arrived near tel aviv of today. they went to the jerusalem and saw from far the wall. they went closer but some angry soldiers told them to move away. without questioning they took the detour and went to the camp of mr Titus (one of the guy was a relative).

So they went to the camp, meet the boss, and chatted a little. a girl of the group asked if she could see a catapult in action, TITUS smiled and said that happily they were finally installed today...

so she went with an officer to visit one, but he refused to let her see those on the right side of the camp... (?), she went to the left and a little demonstration... how cool Smiley

meanwhile in the camp, TITUS was explaining his little plan, and how fun it would be for the youngs to stay for the night... Fireball at night are just great Cheesy.  in short, it was fireball first, so the judeans would use water to stop the flames, depleting their stock... but Cheesy, ahahhaa, it was just a prelude... the real fun would began hours later, with all the dead bodies slashed earlier to install the camp that had been let to the sun (explain the angry soldier that had drink too much and had the task of managing and defending the pile from all those pesky animals wanting to eat them... hard to let good meat rot in the sun in those days Cheesy), so after the fireball fire would have been extinguish the city would be soaked in water... so when the judeans would start to be happy about their coming victory on the subrace that was roman for them, they would enjoy the melted body part flying from the sky... biological warfare is sooo old... TITUS smiled, they all smiled, how fun Cheesy.

So why don't Romans generally bury their enemy? so that the birds and wolves could it. 101 Cheesy.

102 as ROME was an agrarian power first and foremost they knew how hard it was to dig... laziness Cheesy.
