There is a big and unseen opportunity knocking right now that has largely gone unheard by almost everyone. The reason for this deafness may have something to do with the immense challenges of opening the door.
But there is a very good reason that we must come together as a community to look behind this door and expose both the potential misinformation and wealth destruction the hides there, as well as the tremendous benefits that exist for business, free market efficiency and the common man.
The topic is consumer price index. In short, this significant figure has a profound effect on inflation, our standards of living and our day to day life in more ways than most people are aware.
Constructing an independent CPI has multiple challenges, especially if that CPI is to be comprehensive, timely, accurate and influential.
Despite the challenges, myself and a close associate are optimistic and we believe it can done. We have devoted some our own efforts to creating solutions, and we believe that with the help of an open source community and crowd sourced data we can accomplish this task.
The most difficult of these tasks lies in how to accrue all of the price data in the world. We propose that this can be done with a cryptocurrency inspired system. One that functions both to validate the data and generously reward significant contributions.
By combining this with people’s willingness to change the world for the better, we believe we can create something original and exciting that will bring transparency in our governments and more open information for everyone.
