Electrum won't Send to recipient

Hello Everyone.

Am really new to this Btc issues but after reading so many reviews on Electrum, I felt it was safe and easy enough for me to use [as am already used to sending money via paypal and other online payment means]

But after entering the receiver's addr and signing in with my password on Electrum, I even entered the google authentication number [generated from my android], The following screen still remains until the 15mins countdown on the receiver's site expires and the transaction cancelled.

i've tried it on two different sites and I believe there's something am not doing right. Can anyone please help???

That screenshot you posted is what should come up once you 'Send' the transaction.

After signing it you should get another like that (depending on your settings) which should have a 'Broadcast' button at the bottom. Once you click that the transaction is sent to the network.

You said there's supposed to be another screen after that?

But no other screen comes up after that!!!

Is there a particular setting am supposed to activate to make that come up?
Can you explain how I can do that pls?

Go to Tools --> Preferences

There is a setting near the bottom 'Show transaction before broadcast', if that is ticked it will come up with the screen i was speaking about where you need to click the 'Broadcast' button before the transaction is actually sent.

Is it synced and online? The green light in the right bottom is the indicator for that and you should only send the transaction when it is lit up and wait if it is still syncing. The broadcast button becomes available when the transaction is signed and if it does not then that means that you're entering the wrong password. So click on the sign button on that screen and re-enter the correct password.

...ok, in the version I use, which is 2.4.4, There's no section like that.

all I have there;
There are 3 Taps: Transaction, Appearance, identity

Under the Transaction Tap: You have;

*Dynamic fees
*use change addresses [ticked]
*View transaction before signing [ticked]
*Set transaction fees manually.

That's the option on 2.4.4. so if that is ticked then it should come up with the screen with the broadcast option. If it does not come up then there must have been an error with the signing process just before that.

Sorry, that's not it, seem like that option is gone now.....

Not sure why it was excluded. I'm still running 2.3.2 as the latest binaries do not have trezor support included.

Yes, just make sure you have a backup of the wallets seed.
