probably not...you don't say much about it, but it sounds like a block erupter which mines only sha256 (bitcoin) but not scrypt (litecoin)

Well, if you are talking about a SCRYPT 2Gh/s USB miner, that is impossible with current tech...
You must be talking about a block erupter, somewhere around the yellow jacket range.
You can't mine litecoin (SCRYPT Algorithm) with a bitcoin (SHA-256 Algorithm) block erupter.
Zeusminer is a trustworthy ASIC-miner selling website, https://zeusminer.com/ I suggest you take a look over there for a current gen ASIC miner.
