Hello,

I am wanting to buy bitcoin. I've only ever bought direct with bank deposit via coinbase until now.
But I'm wanting to make this purchase with a method that can be funded with a visa or mastercard (and frankly just in general start building up a trade history in the community).  Paypal is what I am most used to when it comes to online purchases, but other methods would be fine as long as they are account types I can open in the United States.

As I am brand new, I am looking to trade with someone who has a strong trust history here so that I can send the payment first and (assuming paypal) send it as a gift. (I believe sending as a gift protects the receiver from chargebacks? If I'm wrong, please just tell me.) I'm also fine with taking a photo with my ID / showing my ID and other reasonable identity validation steps with a trusted BTC seller.

I've done my best to read some threads and try to understand the norms. But if I'm asking for something unreasonable for a newcomer, I'd appreciate counter suggestions.

I would also really appreciate it if someone could give me a tip on what sort of margin is reasonable to expect a reputable BTC seller to charge?

Thank you!

You could also try localbitcoins, the current prices there are actually fairly decent (at least in my area).
