Do they -have- to be 1x > 16x? I use 1x > 1x with the data side open-ended for all my mining rigs and they are electrically identical to 1x > 16x (the other 15 lanes are electrically not connected to anything). I already have 1 spare filed down to accept 16x width cards, need to file another down if you need 2.
