Engineer from Twitter/Periscope says she is big fan of bitcoin

To the question
3) Do you know anything about Twitter or Periscope in terms of integration with bitcoin? Is twitter a friend of bitcoin?
Do you think Twitter or Periscope would like to make bitcoin more successful in any way?

Sara Haider answered:
3) What sort of bitcoin integrations would you like to see? I am big fan of bitcoin.

{ Imagine a sequence of bits generated from the first decimal place of the square roots of whole integers that are irrational numbers. If the decimal falls between 0 and 5, it's considered bit 0, and if it falls between 5 and 10, it's considered bit 1. This sequence from a simple integer count of contiguous irrationals and their logical decimal expansion of the first decimal place is called the 'main irrational stream.' Our goal is to design a physical and optical computing system system that can detect when this stream starts matching a specific pattern of a given size of bits. bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166760.0 } Satoshi did use a friend class in C++ and put a comment on the code saying: "This is why people hate C++".

This is quite good, but I'm not sure if she can convince the company to integrate Bitcoin? Maybe she can. However, we would have to think about that integration. The first thing that comes to mind is tipping similar to what has been implemented on Reddit. Would that work?

Interesting... Maybe paid streams on periscope? Or tipping inside Twitter, without needing any tipping app...

I think tipping is definitely a good idea. Maybe the hearts could be traded for BTC too. If twitter gets behind this integration, I think Bitcoin would gain a huge amount of support.

Nice to see her speak of bitcoin in a positive light but there's been loads of people in the public eye backing bitcoin & it seems to always lead to a dead end. I'm not getting my hopes up on this.

It's still very positive. And yes, nothing huge has come out of all these positive statements from many different people so far but this will change as well one day.

I would rather be hearing statements like this very often than be hearing nothing or even worse just hearing negative stuff.

I don't think these crook companies accept Bitcoin anytime soon. They would choose Facebook's way and install their own credit system, but they won't use Bitcoin.
She stated only her own view about Bitcoin, not company's.

I hate to say it, but I don't think an engineer at Twitter saying she is a fan of Bitcoin means very much. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many fans of Bitcoin at Twitter. That doesn't mean that Twitter will integrate Bitcoin any time soon.

I can tell you from my own experience that in order for a company to accept Bitcoin, there has to be a strong business case. I work for a well-known internet company and I integrated Bitcoin into its payment system as a demo. Even though I showed them a fully-working system, they decided against accepting Bitcoin for a variety of reasons, some good, some bad.

In my opinion spreading words on bitcoin in some places where you can attract thousand of listens, that must be very good help to bitcoin community. we need to thank those people who are all doing free promotion of bitcoin on their fields. Spreading is sharing, sharing is caring.

Maybe we should all tweet her the ideas that we would like to see with regards to bitcoin integration.
