Man, so much bullish news! This is so great and all the other pro-Bitcoin banking announcements. Not sure if the Gemini thing is paving the way here but I love the effect on price

This is very positive news and I guess we will be seeing more 'banks' like these in the near future.

Looks like they plan to offer most of the banking services to clients with the additional range of accounts for crypto currencies as well as metals. I just hope their security is world class as they will be a prime target for hackers with all those accounts.

All these 'digital currency' banks etc.. are all good and well but I cannot help but wondering whether I'll make use of such a service. The biggest advantage I do see in such a service is the easy on/off ramp for crypto currencies where you have your 'normal' fiat banking and crypto currency banking all in one place and the ability to switch between the two as and when required without the need to first run off to one or other exchange to exchange the one for the other. This will most definitely make things much easier.

The biggest factor however will be a matter of trust. Will you trust a bank like this with all your hard earned bitcoins?

the effect on the price has been slow if you consider the amount of good news we have had so far. maybe we're preparing for a small bull run very soon.

Fidor only supports the marketplace bitcoin.de. Beyond that the bank only directly supports Ripple but not Bitcoin for its core business. So, you can say that NextBank is the first bank which directly supports Bitcoin (okay, I do not know LHV Pank(?) in Estonia, likely Nextbank is the second bank).

World’s First Bitcoin Friendly Bank

I'm pretty sure several banks have been Bitcoin friendly before NextBank (e.g. Fidor (Germany/UK), LHV Pank (Estonia))

By the way, another article about NextBank.

A bank registered and presumably regulated by Vanuatu, that well known bastion of financial might and security? And they're having a funding round and asking for investors via the article? Errr, I think I'll pass.

Okay, sorry. I did not know about the the cryptocurrency bank project partnered by Fidor. Seems really interesting  Shocked

Fidor only supports the marketplace bitcoin.de. Beyond that the bank only directly supports Ripple but not Bitcoin for its core business.

Fidor is also partnered with Kraken to build a Cryptocurrency Bank
