I have had guys *try and scam me on LocalBitcoins
but because i was cautious and never sent my coins/money first i never got ripped off,.
follow the sites standard procedure.. be weary of people who want to do things different.
i have done off the books trades with guys on there but only after building some trust with trades.
It's a great site for sure but it is very dangerous.
Some guys in Florida were nabbed in a parking lot and thrown in jail for meeting up by the FBI

I would advise sicking to things like Interac eTransfer or basic Bank transfers (instead of meeting in person)
Be careful there is a lot of scammers on there !
If the price for buying or selling is too good to be true it probably is a scammer.
And always read the feedback people have on there..
