So I reset my PC, and scrubbed my harddrives. I forgot to backup my Litecoin wallet. They're forever gone right... ?  There isn't a magical technique that LTC can do, that BTC can't, to bring back my coins is there? |

If you have made a quick format and not a new partition it might still be there, use a recovery tool. And don't install anything before you do so. If the free space gets overwritten, its gone for good. http://www.piriform.com/recuvaDon't save or install it on the hard drive where the wallet was. |

Nope. I CCleaner'd all of my harddrives, then reinstalled Windows. This sucks.
I have my Bitcoin wallet backed up on floppies, CDs, SD cards, and paper. For some stupid reason I don't think I ever backed up the Litecoin wallet anywhere.

Well it could have been worse. I could have destroyed my other LTC wallets. Thankfully I only lost my hot wallet.
Make sure you guys double check that you backed everything up. Don't end up like me.

ouch but yes at least it only ur hot wallet... but let this be a reminder to everyone to backup their wallet.dat files!! for ALL your crypto-currencies.... i may be running an old version of wallets... but i found i can't encrypt my LTC wallet, or IOC or IX wallets?? this an area for development in the wallet? or i just need to update?
