The US Marshals Service said four winning bidders emerged from last week's auction of bitcoins seized during the prosecution of the creator of the online black marketplace Silk Road.

The Marshals Service did not identify the winners in what marked the final auction stemming from the case of Ross Ulbricht, who authorities say ran Silk Road, where the digital currency could be used to buy illegal drugs and other goods.

Even if the coins get hacked, I would have blamed their incompetence and not bitcoin.

Even if the coins get hacked, I would have blamed their incompetence and not bitcoin.  

I am guessing that they might have hired some bitcoin guy to help them make sure the bitcoins are safely stored and transferred.

If it was hacked, we would have blamed their incompetence and they would have blamed bitcoin !
