Hi, since I'm a noob here, I was wondering what you make of the current BTC exchange rate, for example as shown on Bitcoin Charts.
Seems pretty crazy, doesn't it?!
Do you think things will ever improve, i.e. more BTC to the $ again?

Would be interested in hearing your opinions.  Thanks in advance Smiley

As friend of mine likes to answer such questions (he is a trader) "If I knew that I probably be on the Bahamas now Wink"

So short answer is Nobody Knows.. but IMO the price will go up - slowly, there are many factors for that - 1. limited quantity (21m in total) 2. Big companies starts to accept it (Wordpress).. hope other to follow. 3. Quite young currency .. so maybe in long term the price will be more, even much more. But that's a risk you to take, because You can loose it all.

As rule number one - never invest more than you are ready to loose.

Not sure what you mean by "seems pretty crazy" - it seems quite reasonable to me. It's worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. Try looking at historical price charts for gold, silver, platinum, or oil. It goes up, it goes down - due to market forces, due to manipulation, due to hysteria, whatever. Personally, I am better off with relatively stable exchange rates that slowly follow the rate of adoption.

They're there, in their room.

Thanks for your replies.  I guess I remember the days when you could get at least twice as many BTC for your $, but then a few months back things suddenly shot up, and the exchange rate has been high ever since!
So maybe I am delusional if I hope it will ever drop again Tongue

I think the price will continue to go up with possible buying opportunities on the way Smiley
