I have a transaction that never got confirmed, even tho there are more than 4 hrs passed:

89148a3e5a97567b8a5226df6580fa543205f692835613d649d7656e002c0fd5

is this transaction real ?
Why doesn't it get at least 1 confirmation ?

Its "real" and it will get a confirmation. Its just that there are many others waiting for a confirmation currently.

Spending hundreds of dollars or maybe more on fees to saturate the blockchain is really ridiculous thing to prove they are right imo, they cannot handle this situation for too long..

Well I think they believe that they can make the amount back in some time if their agenda is proven successful. Feel free to give any other example why in the heck's name would someone want to attack blockchain and as you said "spend hundreds of dollars" during the process
