EDIT - they finally got in touch with me after I showed them this post. Haha - tip, if you don't have a reliable phone number, do not use online wallets unless they specifically allow google authenticator, which you should always use. Cell phone verification is terrible for almost all services.


I have not registered a phone number with them, yet now they are saying my account is unable to be accessed unless I receive a pin # to the phone I supposedly "registered" with them. No such pin ever arrives to any phone.

I cannot afford a regular cell phone and I am not sure if someone hacked my account and added their phone or what.

I get emails from affiliate commissions or deposits from faucets. And I know I will never be able to access those coins.

3 days and no reply from support. They do not have a contact number, yet they require us to have a phone to access bitcoin?

EVER HEARD OF GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR? 1000x easier! Screw cell phones, nobody wants to have to pay $100 a month cell phone bill just to own bitcoin.

Do not use xapo wallet unless you want to let them rob you of your bitcoin. I have seen other stories online of users having a bad experience with xapo, so for now I will say STAY AWAY from www.xapo.com.

Dave here from Xapo. Happy to hear that Support was able to sort out your account access. We actually do incorporate Google Authenticator into our two factor authorization options. We encourage our users to use it, as it's more secure than SMS, amongst other benefits that make it more reliable.

THe xapo Service seems very legit for me so far  I really tested it hard! Also with the Bitcoion Debit Card. It works great and without any fees.
I dont know maybe is the registration without an second secure mobiletan its not so secure. but if you have a mobile and e-mail its very save for an online wallet that can also used as an credit card iover the world.

So my statement is : Cool  Service
