Why are wallet confirmation times SO SLOW?

What's the best wallet for fast confirmation other than Coinbase? I don't want to use that... Anyone have suggestions?

For fast confirmation you need to pay a bigger fee than "competition", any wallet with the ability to set up a custom fee will do.

A fee high enough to make your transaction a priority for miners to include. How high that is? Depends[1] and changes constantly. If your wallet does not allow you to set a custom or at least tiered fee, use a different one.
