Antrouter R1 Case short

I got my antrouter yesterday, and plugged it in with no issue.  Today I was moving all my mining equipment to a new location.  When I went to move the Antrouter it shocked me.  I did a quick search(here and google), and nothing came up.  I have already contacted the seller, but I was curious if anyone else was having the same issue.

I have have one no issues with shocking.  Do you know if the shock as from case or possible surge protector?  I would try on a different surge protector if not on one already.

It is odd that it would be able to build up shock through case and still work.  I would think you would have some issues.

I have tried 3 different power strips.  What is odd is the short is not causing the GFCI on the outlet to pop.

I should not assume but you are using on a US outlet right? Not somewhere where adapter is needed?

I'm going to guess US.  But your on right track on contacting seller.  I would love to tell you to open it up and see if something is off, but that no doubt would make it where seller would make you keep it.

Yes I am in the US, and it is a US plug.  I would also love to tear it open, but think that could void any kind of warranty I have.

The good news is the vendor is refunding me and taking it back.  The bad news is I need to find another one as he is out.

Well I found the problem.  It turns out all the power strips I tried had grounded enclosures.  So when the metal of the case touched the grounded metal of the power strips it would energize the case.  I attached it to a normal wall outlet without issue.

I'm not always crazy I did suggest on trying another one all surge protectors, and power strips are not equal.
