This is a spin-off from
Yuhfhrh's service. In that thread, a comment was made about automating the alerts, so I decided to tackle the task. Below is a list of the functions currently available from within the application that I will run. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask.
- Pulls the ticker data from MtGox API every 60 seconds
- Calculates the change amount (+/-) and percentage (+/-%) from the previous price and the new price
- If the change percentage is above you notify %, an email is sent to your notify email list (SMS or email)
- Pulls the market depth data from MtGox API
- Grabs all orders placed within the last 60 seconds and finds the order with the highest amount of BTC
- If an ask/bid order is placed that is above your notify value, an email is sent to your notify email list (SMS or email)
- A timeout value is available for each type of message (change %, ask wall and bid wall) to prevent email/SMS bombing
There we will be 3 available tiers to choose from, they are listed below. Also, if you would like the SMS or email alert to go to an additional address, it can be added on also ! All alerts will be to the USA & Canada only at this time. Please send leave a note here and PM me if you are interested in signing up.
- Tier 1 - Price Change Percentage Alerts Only (0.10 BTC/month)
- Tier 2 - Price Change and Ask OR Bid Wall Alerts (0.15 BTC/month)
- Tier 3 - Price Change and Ask AND Bid Wall Alerts (0.20 BTC/month)
- Additional SMS/Email - Add an additional notification address (0.02 BTC/month)
