The only reason to do a Take Over with new ownership is because it has a brand of high value.
So then i ask you all DO YOU think Cryptsy's name is still in good enough standing for that ?

Today i see YES close it @ 17 votes.
and NO leave it open @ 10 votes.

I am a bit surprised so many said 'keep it open' to be honest..

Just my personal opinion: Cryptsy was always my #1 exchange. I liked the UI most, they had/have the best coin selection for miners, low minimum amounts for trading, FIAT options, many markets and much more. There's no other exchange that provides all those features (i.e. Bittrex too fast with delisting, only few PoW coins, higher min amounts, less markets).

So there may be reasons why some users still like Cryptsy and hope all will be good soon.

I'm done with Cryptsy, poor or better even not existing support, lack of communication, always problems with wallets in maintenance and now the withdrawal problems. I got scammed by too many "service providers" in the last 1,5 years in crypto and won't ignore all those red flags. Even a "takeover" wouldn't be safe, you never know who is still active in the background.

Even with a take over I suppose they have to pay all the amounts people own from cryptsy. Or am I wrong about this ?

Most takeovers have an angreement that debts are not part of the takeover, usually only the systems/assets/know how without funds/debts will be sold. The new owner doesn't feel responsible and the previous one states that he has nothing to do with the service anymore.

So I wouldn't hope for that.

I would like to say that Craptsy would be better off being audited and shut down by a three letter government agency.  That's my opinion.
