So, a while ago my bitcoin wallet got messed up and it wasn't working properly. Anyway, I saved the wallet.dat file and deleted the rest as to reset the blockchain and anything else, hoping that it would solve the problem. So I was wondering if there was any way that I could somehow get my wallet working on multi bit without having to send bitcoins to that adress.

Not directly.

As BTCoinWeb said you have to export and then import the private key
