Just for giggles I'm trying to mine some Litecoins and see what Litecoin is about. I just got CG miner and started running it. However, I've never used CGMiner or mined LTCs before, so I dunno if I'm doing this right or if it's even working. Here's a screenshot of what I see on the console:

I manually entered the URL, username, password, etc... But I also created a new batch file with the following params to avoid having to do that in the future:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://mine.pool-x.eu:80 -u savage77.1 -p x

Can anyone shed some more light on this and what I need to be doing?

Thanks,

--ATC--

EDIT ::

I'm looking at my stats on the pool's website, and something does appear to be wrong... It's saying my hash-rate is 5.270MH/sec when I know my GPU runs over 140.2 (and CGMiner appears to be saying I'm running even faster than that). The website also says I have zero shares even though I've been running for 5-10 minutes.

I re-launched it from my batch file parameters and now it is accepting shares and the pool website is showing some progress. But it's running painfully slow... under 8K when I know my card spits out 140MH/sec+ ... wtf?  Huh

EDIT :: Ahhh... I think I understand! BTC mining uses SHA-256 and LTC is Scrypt. So hashrates don't carry over from one type of mining to the other, and LTC mining hash rates will be MUCH lower than what they are in mining Bitcoin...correct? So now everything is working correctly it appears?
