First, I'd buy one of those cars from wikispeed:
http://www.wikispeed.com/wikispeed-team-blog/wikispeed-first-car-maker-in-the-world-to-accept-bitcoin-press-release

Then once they have bitcoin ATMs available I'd buy a bunch of those and offer them to every business in town. I liked the suggestion of setting up exchanges for expats who wire money back home, so I'd give one ATM to the latino center here in town.

In reality, if I had 10,000 bitcoins but had to spend them right now I'd buy as much food and non-perishables with the bitcoin as I could, use the remaining ~$700,000 worth of bitcoin to buy gold and silver (75/25 between goldmoney.com and physical bullion in a safety deposit box) and honestly probably just go back to living my life pretty much how I do now, with an eye on early retirement. But I'd probably travel more.

Invest with Pirate!

Alternatively, and more seriously, donate half of it to developers and evangelists whose effort you deem productive thus far. The other half - burn priv keys, KLF style, film the burning, and send footage to Spekulatius for his documentary. Prove that lost coins do not affect Bitcoin system, ad nobody gives a fuck.

They're there, in their room.
Your mining rig is on fire, yet you're very calm.
