Image a person undergoing an operation to permanently have a Borg-esque optical implant of which its components can be deactivated but not by the wearing, viz. an operation is required (or at the very least, an office visit).
The optical unit performs like Google Glass and beyond.
The person tries to enter an establishment forbidding the wearing of Google Glass et al., and upon discovering that the person has Google Glass now part of his human makeup, can the person legally be barred from said establishment?
Yes, the establishment may have a policy in place refusing service to anybody, but if the person looks different from everybody else, would the person have a strong case in declaring that discrimination is the root cause of them not being allowed to enter? What if they were only permanently implanted with a non-functioning optic device? How is such determined to be functional or not?
