Bitcoin-QT getting NEXT BLOCK

I'd like to get notified when bitcoin-qt running in daemon mode receives a new block along with all the block contents. Digging thru the RPC calls I can't see to find this.

Also Would polling such a method if it exists be only way to get up to date info on new block and its data?
