Bitwit — Find companies that accept Bitcoin as payment

Hi Everyone,

Do you want to know which companies accept Bitcoin and be in the loop as those companies grow? Also do you want to know what your Bitcoin can buy in terms of daily purchases in real-time? We have recently launched https://bitwit.cash. A website that is focusing on building technologies that helps making Bitcoin usage widespread and beyond just an investment.

We are frequently adding more functionality and did our best to ensure the website is mobile friendly and has good and minimalistic UX; but definitely would welcome any feedback to make it more useful and impactful.

I like its simplicity but I think the following things might improve its overall usage:

• Categories
  ^{- As it stands, everything is on a single page.}
• Filters
  ^{- Useful when it comes to searching for a specific thing within a category.}
• Dark mode

Good website idea but you need to improve a lot the UI/UX. I guess you just started, so no big deal.
If you keep the actual structure people will have to scroll the page a lot. You should use more width and also categorize the businesses as suggested above.
You could also add google maps with a logo linking to the map, Trustpilot widget, etc (just some ideas)

If you plan to list offline businesses, like for example the D. Grill Bar you should also categorize them by country. For example, I'm living in France so I'm not interested in businesses in Cleveland

I see you list Rakuten but I believe it's only available to people in Japan. At least not in my country and I checked the payment methods on its FAQ.
Other than that, Rakuten doesn't accept Bitcoin, they allow the users to exchange their "Rakuten Points" to Bitcoin to the Rakuten Wallet (here)

Thanks SFR10 and LeGaulois for your feedback guys. Actually very good points, we are going to prioritize this and start tackling them once we have more merchants listed on the website. Appreciate your feedback and please keep them coming

Nice start but there should be some updates and added maps with location for every shop that accepts Bitcoin, and even adding  categories with different countries or regions.
For example, I don't really care is some company located in India is accepting Bitcoin or not, but some Indian guy may care more about that.
Lot of business accept Bitcoin and other coins for payment in Slovenia and I think they use some Elli payment processor for that, so you should check that out.

It is always good to see that someone wants to show the world that it is possible to use Bitcoin as a means of payment. As for the idea, it is nothing that does not already exist (see my avatar), and in the last few years I have seen at least 4-5 such projects on the forum. This means that the competition already exists, so if you want to be competitive, you will need to invest a lot of work in developing the website and creating the largest possible database of sites who accept BTC

Other than location-based categorization, maybe you can add a comparison with the pros and cons for each website/service. I think that can be considered as a unique feature for now since other services rarely have them.

We are definitely looking into improving Bitcoin Daily page. Gold is a very good comparison actually, adding this to our backlog.

We use some automated scripts plus looking into companies's websites if they do accept bitcoin.

Companies like Grayscale, Tesla, Microstrategy, PayPal and others. How much bitcoin they hold and the profits that returned to them from buying Bitcoin.
On the internet you can find how much money Tesla made from Bitcoin compared to the cars they sold.
