Questions about BitInstant to MtGox.

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole bitcoin thing. I am currently trying to look up the method of buying bitcoins by transferring money at a local CVS using BitInstant to pay MtGox. If I am correct, all I have to do is fill out the form on BitInstant and then take a slip to CVS and they will do it for me? Do they have to verify your age and address? Sorry if none of this makes sense, the whole process is extremely confusing.
