Mining Problem

So I recently installed the GUI Miner (https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=3878.0) on my linux mint, but I have been having a problem where I am unable to start mining.  When I try to start mining, it says 'ImportError: No Module Named tools' in the lower left corner.  Originally it said the same thing about Numpy, but after I installed that from the main repository/software manager, it went away and it threw this one at me.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
