The shipping method I've been using lately is great. I'm aware this might not be the right place for this thread, but I figured the greatest number of people would see it here.
Anyways, there's a loophole with PayPal where when you're signed in you go to www.paypal.com/shipnow and you can ship something without receiving any payment via PayPal. You can choose the funding source, postal carrier, everything. I always choose USPS First Class Parcel Post (2-4 days in US). Up to 6 ounces, its $1.64. 13 ounces and above is $2.15, I think. The best thing about shipping this way is you get Delivery Confirmation, which you can also use for tracking.
Hope someone found that useful!

I wouldn't exactly say it's a loophole and I'm pretty sure most people already know about this, but then again, I've been selling stuff for 10 years. I do agree it is the best way for shipping. Additionally you can buy stick-on printable labels very cheap on ebay (or take a bunch for free from your local fed-ex) so you don't have to tape on labels. If you sell a lot, buy your own scale for $30 and never go to the post office again.
Also, above 13 ounces you can no longer use First Class.

True, I just feel cool thinking its a loophole. As far as the scale goes...most people probably have a small one (for jewelry or...other things). I put a medicine bottle or something on there and then tare it. Then I put the envelope on top. Definitely going to visit my local FedEx! Thanks for that.
