Saudi Arabia essentially threatened the US with an economic attack over the weekend if we pass a bill currently in the House.
The bill would publicly release information about their involvement in funding the attacks on 9/11.
And from the looks of it, the US is going to cave to their threat.

Now, I am against war and was against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but I see this as an act of war.
When we went into Iraq I asked:
Did Iraq attack us?
Did Iraq threaten to attack us?
Did Iraq hint in any way that they planned on attacking us?

They did none of those things and yet we attacked them.

Saudi Arabia literally threatened to attack us economically unless we met their demands. That right there is cause for action.

I saw this and was thinking that Saudi Arabia is desperately trying to push issues under the carpet now and to turn on their allies is very telling. Almost like they are in the peak of a meth binge and they are clawing at everything to get peace of mind.

Its very odd imo to be getting into this spat when they have so many proxy wars that will need to be backed up or they will lose them all. Just do not see them being able to fight Iran once they start getting the oil money coming in. Iran has been under restrictions for so long they know how to survive on little,Saudis not so much!
Scary times for them indeed.

If the Saudis were indeed complicit in the 9/11 attack in any manner whatsoever, their threat to sell hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of American assets will be of small consolation.

Bumping this because there is a similar thread and some one in it was looking for a link and could not find one.
Here it is.

Saudis confuse me but I think thats the kind of games you get when you have a crap load of money and start angling the world in a troll like fashion. If they end up being behind 9/11 what will it change on the global table? States would be pissed but they must have known this for a hell of a long time now and are still working with them.
Canada is still selling them armored vehicles for a billion contract,so business as usual I guess.
Wonder why the threats and why its coming to light now when things are a bit dicey!

Saudia Arabia is not terrorist. Then why attack us? But every time we attack first. We make a issue and attack them. Exactly what happened to Iraq.

This is just completely racism but I don't get it on how Saudi Arabia reacts on that bill.

But this has a big change on the economy if this happens.

Can you clarify this statement,it looks like you are saying its racist to point out that the Saudis are trying to extort the States or that the story is fabricated?

I'm not referring to Saudi Arabia as racist I'm referring to US. I'm sorry if my statement is unclear. I hope this will make it clear to you now.

That has little to do with the discussion at hand. If you are saying the States is racist for releasing the information, you have a thin grasp on what racism is. The bill will shed light on how connected to 9/11 the Saudis really are and help us get to the bottom of a terror attack that happened on US soil. If you call some one racist for investigating this you are either not understanding the topic or trolling.

Not even close, money is one thing but sway is another. Do not think that other countries would not also like to pull the Saudis back in line. Iran will be taking all the attention and the Saudis do not need a break with the States at this time.

Besides Saudi money is not going to want to piss off all the Chinese money also invested in the States. End of the day the Saudis are allowed to swagger because of the oil,if the world has had enough they would be done with in short order.
