European Commission Seeks More Customer Data from Bitcoin Services

The European Commission, the executive arm for the European Union, has said that it plans to tighten reporting standards for digital currency exchanges as part of a broader effort to restrict terrorist financing channels.

Is this a genuine attempt to fight terrorism funding or just an excuse to infringe on people's financial privacy? I have not seen ANY evidence linking

Bitcoin to terrorism funding. We have the right to question these claims and the right to distance ourselves from these activities. The evidence is there

that these people are using legitimate companies and valuable items to launder money and to fund terrorism. We make sacrifices too quickly, when we
