My Set Up:

Mobo Gigabyte H110-D3A Bios version 25a set to mining mode (pci gen 2, primary video igfx, 4g enabled, igfx enabled, ac always on). PC Specs (8 gb ram, 120 gb ssd, RX 570 8 gb, riser cards, Win 10 Pro, seasonic 850w PSU Gold, Virtual Memory set to 16 gb)

Issue:

3 cards work as expected with no issues. When I add the 4th card I can see it in the Device Manager. When I attempt to open MSI Afterburner or the AMD Settings it hangs/freezes up. If I try to start the miner nothing happens. The mouse also hangs/lags.

Troubleshooting steps taken:

Each GPU and riser will run on their own and work as expected. I also tried every slot on the mobo and they work. The miner runs fine with 3,2 or 1 GPU cards installed. I have reinstalled the AMD drivers.

Any thoughts on this (More RAM, Another PSU) ? thanks in advance. Huh Huh

Sound like a power issue, maybe power scheme that causing your problem. Wattage issue also possible, remembering with three cards your rig running smoothly (Although, while your rig idles your PSU can handle all of your cards). May you need to add additional PSU for the fourth card, just for making sure.

Want to know how did you test the risers to work as expected

I have a feeling on these risers that might be the culprit

Are the GPU's modded?

Hi,

I connected each card separately and ran the miner and it worked. MSI afterburner and the AMD settings all worked as expected also.
The GPU are all stock. I am using a seasonic 850 Watt Gold PSU.

One observation, the less cards I have connected the faster the computer starts and shutdown.

Thanks for your input.

Like the other said its a power issue I think your motherboard needs more power to run your 4 cards.
I experienced this on h110 btc pro when adding 1 more card in my rig its getting issue then I put the I add the 2 molex cable near to pcie x1 sockets  and everything it works fine so you need to put a molex cable in your motherboard near PCIe socket.

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.

I added the connector from the PSU to the molex connector and it seems to be working... thanks for the advice  Smiley Smiley
