Windows 7 x64
Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x

First I tried to run with Alethone and my hashrate is at 20Mh/s that seemed a bit low for an R9 280x is that a bit low?  Second major problem I had with Alethone is it kept crashing with error...

Faulting application name: AlethOne.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x55f6a463
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.19045, time stamp: 0x56259295
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x00000000000bffc2

So with this constant crashing it does not seem it will run for me well at all.

So what client would you recommend for best performance?  Also if I do pool mining does geth still need to run?  Any suggestions on a good pool?

If you use the 1000/1500 core/memory frequency, the hashing speed is about 22-24 MH/s. You can try the Ethereminer on a pool.

Ok something seems really strange with nanopool it went down to 8.8Mh/s but it shows me hashing much faster than that.

miner  05:02:34|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 19922944 H/s = 9961472 hashes / 0.5 s

miner  05:02:37|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 20757251 H/s = 16252928 hashes / 0.783 s
miner  05:02:38|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 20757251 H/s = 16252928 hashes / 0.783 s
miner  05:02:39|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 21065142 H/s = 16515072 hashes / 0.784 s
miner  05:02:39|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 20905154 H/s = 16515072 hashes / 0.79 s
miner  05:02:40|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 20757251 H/s = 16252928 hashes / 0.783 s
miner  05:02:41|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 21092045 H/s = 16515072 hashes / 0.783 s
miner  05:02:42|main  Mining on PoWhash #edf56769窶ヲ : 20971520 H/s = 16777216 hashes / 0.8 s

so how can I be getting 8.8MH/s on nanopool?

btw I had to go back to ethminer it is the ONLY one I could get to work as EthOne kept crashing.

Is there some line changes I should be doing to the batch file below to set the speed?

You might try the Dwarf pool. Their display of the hash rate is quite accurate. It is not more than 5% difference.

I think it is better to try coinotron.com and their proxy mining eth it is the fastest mining of eth.

omg i thought its only me i get the same 8.8 on nanopool and sometimes goes down to 0 , and it rarely shows my actual MH

iam mining on windows with Nvidia card , in pool aswell , is it easy to setup up proxy? and do you think it will get me stable hashrate on the site  ?
and would it use alot of internet

If you want to pool mining, you can use the stratum proxy from the dwarf pool. It is the largest pool now.

Thanks for the advice all.. My card has been running oveclocked and currently shows ..

currently on low difficulty for Suprnova and this is where I am at.  Think I'll make much more or do better at coinotron?

Another question I have what is this about proxy mining?  I see even Suprnova mentions Dwarfpool.

Also what exactly is proxy mining I can't really tell what is happening using Coinotron with proxy mining as the hashing seems to be very low at only 10.7MH/s while Suprnova I was fluctuation between 24-47MH/s with my GPU.

Second thing I am really confused out on payouts so simply should I leave it at the default PPLNS or use RBPPS?

Ok please let me know if my assumption is wrong here.

Suprnova low-diff pool no proxy mining I was getting lowest hash around 25MH/s and high up to 31MH/s on low diff mining pool.  I tried Coinotron using proxy mining and my hash rate goes down to low of 20MH/s and only went to high of 29.8MH/s for a very short amount of time than dropped. So my actual earnings look like they will be much lower.  Is it because Coinotron has no low diff so not good for single 280x GPU?
