Hello everyone,

We usually hear news that Bitcoin is used for black market but unfortunately media is not willing to highlight how blockchain can change life or refugees having no passport or ID and how bitcoin payment transfer method can be used for sending charity

I have been traveling for last 8 months , sharing my vision in crypto space, how I have been helping Refugees in warzone areas using Bitcoin to send charity and teaching them about crypto currency so they can have a living.

Firstly, here is a Video from Refugee camp of Rohiyngas who never had any ID so for them to have bank account or even buy a Mobile SIM is nearly impossible, I went all alone not only to record videos but to help them learn this technology in an easy way, you can switch to sub titles in this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70oFSwU2Ws0

Also you can share how we can help them more to learn this tech.

Here is a Panel discussion where Blockchain for good is discussed, (Amsterdam BlockChain Week)

Please watch video from 17:56

https://youtu.be/rohObuvnIg8

After this, I would like to share my panel discussion as social media influencer, from San Francisco, LA token conference, as Crypto influncer

Please watch this video from 5:32:09

https://youtu.be/Y8RKgIcXcZI

Here is a video how you all can help poor people using Blockchain tech
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TWEE442xig&t=1s

The objective of posting this is to find people who are interested in developing ways of helping refugees as they need this bitcoin tech more than anyone else. Please feel free to contact me

Bitcoin isn’t solely associated with the black market anymore. There were a few media outlets that were often quoted as a publishing that but public opinion has long since changed.
The media has been very positive about Blockchain technology and constantly writes about the good it can bring. However, I don’t see much of a need of suitable application when it comes to refugees. Logic would tell me that they’d prefer charity in the form of a widely accepted currency that they can spend where and when they need to.
Whilst the issues with those that lack identification is definitely a pressing matter, I think there are better alternatives as realistically there isn’t enough infrastructure to support this technology in these communities.
I admire your desire to help but I seriously don’t get the point in this as there are many more suitable, simple  and effective ways of tackling the problems you aim to address with the above.

Since 2015, I am going in these areas, my objective is to give these people skills to use mobile phone only to get trading information and how they can get charity without NGOS , I have got them linked with localbitcoin people, main objective is to educate them and give them a monthly passive income , since 2016 they are very happy that they have some job or business, as having no ID they cannot even have jobs anywhere, so till they dont get any recongization, we are trying to help them using crypto so they have some monthly income, because charity is not available monthly.

Next step is to list them as we at TENUP building this ID system and working hard to convince UNICEF who is interested in using blockchain for charity work .

I posted this to show why we are developing TENUP and how we are planning to help people as not many can reach in such areas and have crypto knowledge too.

This is a perfect response who suggest that crypto can be used for illegal purposes. People don’t realise that it’s not the thing that is bad but the way it can be used. Just like knowledge can be used for good cause and bad, crypto can be used for bringing humanity together by helping each other out.

Love the project of #tenup and the their team. They have all my support.

What I don’t understand is why there is a need for this.
I can understand the need for something like this in countries with corrupt regimes, where currency fluctuations and inaccessibility to banking makes individual finance difficult.
However, wouldn’t refugees benefit more from FIAT donations and teachable skills that are applicable to trades thus increasing their chances of occupation? I still don’t see why this is necessary. There’s more effective methods that involve half of the hassle...

Im also unsure about your interview question. Becoming a legendary member on here is achieved through reaching high enough of an activity level by posting regularly and with quality (merit worthy posts).

Dear , everyone has their way of helping, again I guess in text I am unable to clear my point of view but taking fiat to refugee camps in Syria and Burma is near impossible everytime , If you visit them onces then you xan judge how imp blockchain and bitcoin is for them

Further , I completely understand the merit situation but I wanted tp request your interview so you can explain people who have no idea about it , your experience can help others to learn how to earn merit

That's really great! A couple of questions -

do you have the actual user interaction flow working yet? if so, why not show that?

the screen in the video is flickering quite badly. Is that an artifact of the video or is there some issue with the screen?

Waqar, hello kia hal hay?

I've sent you a PM for some possible coverage in news media, but also personally have a deep interest in blockchain for refugee work (I am doing my MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies), actually writing up a research proposal but am admittedly very lost for direction (apart from personal experience) with an extreme lack of existing literature.

I've taken a look at some of your videos and I believe there's quite a bit of potential there, would you be OK to share a Telegram or Email so we can discuss when you have time?

Hello OP, sorry it took a while to get back to you but I've added you on Telegram and Whatsapp so we can continue discussions over there. I'm just posting here in case you don't check those channels... they tell me you were last on over the weekend.

I'll connect you with a journalist. Very likely, coverage will be focused on blockchain/crypto activism and education on the ground, particularly with grassroots efforts along with refugee communities. They will be far less keen to talk about the specific TENUP project, particularly because they won't want to cover altcoins, but apart from that, the valuable stories from your experience and work with the communities such as of the Rohingya should make newsworthy coverage.

Maybe they would indeed benefit more from fiat donations, at least in a practical sense.
But I do think that they stand to benefit way more by having knowledge about crypto.

If they're fully dependent on fiat donations, they have to rely on donations given to them through various NGO's.
Who knows how much of that money actually ends up in the right place.

With crypto they can basically have a direct link with the people who are donating.
I just know that if a refugee reached out to me and offers sufficient proof of their current situation, I'd have no hesitations for sending them a small donations through Bitcoin or whatever altcoin.

How would you do that with fiat? Go to a Western Union office and send them money that way?

Bitcoin isn't populated advertised by media as a way of supporting illegal things, it's usually associated with profitable investment.
No one says that blockchain technology is bad, no, it's good but it still needs a lot of time to be tested on different services, using BC technologies directly on ID and passport could cause a chaos, we need to enlighten people.
I can say that goverments, for example republic of Georgia, already implemented blockchain land title registration. I hope it's just a begining.

Man, I have some trouble with the whole concept. You want to give free phones to people and then you want to distribute

donations directly to those phones for people to convert that into local currencies. How will the people donating know that

the Bitcoin addresses are actually used by these refugees? Doing it in this way, there is no government oversight to see that

the "donations" ends up in the refugees hands.  Huh The tax evasion angle of this method is also not recommended, because

the government will not support such initiatives.  Sad
