[this is a newsletter I just sent out to Chocolate Tree customers - thought it worthwhile to post on the forum too]
Bit-Trade has been mostly inactive for the last few months, and the site has been unavailable or behaving incorrectly during that period. The primary reasons for this were:
1. Intersango, the UK exchange we used to convert Bitcoins to/from GBP, has effectively ceased trading in the UK.
2. Due to (1), the BTC prices on our site were not updated to reflect the current BTC exchange price
3. BitPay - as great service as they provide - changed their authentication protocol, and we were not aware of it, so the payment processing has been offline for some time
We would like to apologise for this, and to assure potential customers that these problems have now been rectified, and a host of new products have been added - the most exciting being the bean-to-bar chocolate bars. Chocolate Tree are now one of the only chocolatiers in the UK to produce chocolate from the raw beans.
