Starting up a Vanity Address service.

I have a GTX 980 Ti, which is a very powerful GPU. I usually leave my computer on overnight, so I decided to profit from it.

So, here I am. I will be generating Bitcoin Vanity Addresses for you overnight. These can be longer words which are non-case sensitive, or a bot shorter but case sensitive.

I don't have a pricing list set up. I guess you could give me a offer, and I would think if that's good enough for me. For more trusted members, I'll send the private key before payment.

And here's the part where I discuss about security.

I know you can't trust everyone in the internet. It's up to you, bit honestly scamming doesn't tickle my fancy. If you do not feel safe, then do not use my service, or use something to autonatically forward payments to another address.

First of all, are you going to generate vanity addresses based on split-key generation procedure?

If yes, then no trust is needed in first place?
If no, then I would recommend everyone not to use his service. He will get to know your private keys.

And you should post your rates before asking us to offer for it.

This is with Split-Key generation, yes.

I'm not sure what I should charge yet, so I didn't post rates.

The trust is invalid. Also the generation will be safe so I won't get the address. I appreciate your opinion tho.

Split-Key vanity address generation is a process that requires basically no trust from any party.

The main idea is, OP can create a vanity address without even knowing what private key it will actually belong to. Suppose you grab a random ECDSA keypair and save the private key for yourself. You can then issue a request for a vanity address to be created, by supplying the public key form that keypair, and mention your desired prefix. OP will then be looking for the vanity address by bruteforcing random ECDSA private keys and can get his corresponding public keys, add them to the provided public key, and proceed normally with SHA, RIPEMD and base58 until he receive the desired pattern. Then he will give the private key found to you. Then you can add the two private keys in order to get your vanity address. The best thing about it is that the person looking for the solution won't know what the resulting private key is! This means that you can outsource your vanity key generation without needing to trust anyone.
