Can anybody show me how "Shadow" option in reply works??

Can anybody show me how "Shadow" option in reply works?? I am trying to use it but i see no affect in matter.Please help

it's supposed make any text inside the code to have shadow around (left/right) them. but looks like it's not working.

it has never worked before and i have tried it many times! it might be bug or it was disabled
