i'm trying to upload a pic, and it works, but after i click SAVE it doesn't upload it, and I cant even upload it using a link: http://i46.tinypic.com/b6amb4.jpg

I have a similar issue, so your post came up first when I did a search.
I used to have a proper avatar, changed some stuff in my profile and it vanished.
I don't see a proper way of setting it back *sigh*
