I opened up an online wallet a few years ago and have never used it.  I am attempting to use it now and am having much difficulty and would greatly appreciate any help figuring out this program.  I have spent prob 50+ hours downloading and many more reading about about how to get this program working with no avail.  When I open Armory it gets to "organizing Blockchain" and then I get an error and it shuts down.  Can anyone help?

Thank you for the response.  I've tried to access the logs but when I try to "export logs"  its says that feature is disabled and I need to "submit bug report".  When I do that I get an error message

Go to the data folder. It is in %appdata%/Armory in windows or in ~/.Armory on linux. There should be two log files there, post the content of those.

Also, try 0.94 testing. You can download it from https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/releases/tag/0.93.99.1.

The export logs shouldn't be disabled, but submit bug report is since ATI no longer is developing armory and their servers are now down.

Thanks again for your help.  This forum won't let me post either log because they are over 64000 characters.  Is there a way around this?

Hm. I'm not sure what is wrong here, you will probably have to wait for goatpig to respond.

What was the error that you got when it crashed?

Try starting Bitcoin Core manually. In Armory, go to the settings and uncheck the option to allow Armory to run Bitcoin Core in the background. Then start Bitcoin Core and restart Armory.

The error is.....   "ArmoryQt.exe has stopped working"  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

I tried running Core manually and now I'm getting the error message immediately upon opening armory instead of it taking 10 seconds or so.  Is that relevant info?  Thank you again

Do this:

1) Start Armory in offline mode, in File -> Settings, uncheck bitcoind auto management (the first check box)

2) Delete the concent of C:\Users\seanb\AppData\Roaming\Armory\databases. In C:\Users\seanb\AppData\Roaming\Armory, delete armorylog.txt and armorycpplog.txt

3) Start BitcoinQt manually, wait until it sync and keep it running

4) Start Armory in online mode, let run, if it crashes post your log files

(use 0.94 testing builds)

Sorry one more question.  I thought I had the passphrase from when I opened the wallet but it is not working.  How can I unlock the wallet to send funds?  I have a paper backup with root key that I used to restore the wallet on the new comp

1) Restore wallet on offline computer

2) Set new password during restoration

3) Import new wallet in Armory

I still have the difficulty. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 2 .
Deleting the files helped some, got to Block Build then it crashed.

Looks like you're using 0.93.3. Please try compiling the latest version here.

I would recommend you do not try to build the DB initially on a Pi. You should also look into building 0.94 for your Pi, 0.93.x would crush that kind of hardware.
