I don't have several days to let Bitcoin-QT download the blockchain (while overheating/lagging my laptop).

I have tried Armory - which turns out to need a synched bitcoin-QT.

Tried Electrum - which can't import wallets.

Tried Multibit - which is supposed to import wallets but just gives me a long messy error when I do so.

Perhaps an Ebank can do it? I tried making an account on blockchain.info but it doesn't have what I'm looking for - the ability to upload a wallet.dat and have it available to spend. Has obscure options instead. I don't know what else can be trusted.

Anyone got a solution?

With the new 0.8 Version of Bitcoin QT it takes only a few hours to downloade the Blockchain.

Release Candidate is available: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142151.0

The official release will be soon.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

Also you could simply upload your wallet to blockchain and use an online client: https://blockchain.info/de/wallet/import-wallet

That's great, was easy just to drag it into the square. Didn't see it before because I thought you had to create an account first, turns out it creates a new one based on the wallet.
