Should I or Should I not?

Hey guys, first of all I am not sure if this topic is suited to be posted in here.
Now here is my problem. Recently I lend someone and the loan term was supposed to be onl for a couple of hours. 24 hours had already passed and yet bo response from the borrower. I did wt hold of his account as collateral but still I was expecting a response fro his temporary account. Now should I already consider it as a loan default if he fails to communicate and pay within the terms?

I know you guys provably already know which account I was referring to so please don't leave the account any feedback as it was given as a collateral an it would be my loss if the account got any kinds of bad feedback.

The first thing is did you got signed message from the account , if it is their then you can do that you just send him the pm and give him the 12 hrs time to clear the loan if not you are going to sell that account to clear your debts , even if he is not responding you can go through the process. Here you can give the details of the account and the signed message which he gave you on taking loan,

is 24 hours past the time he should have paid or past from the start?

it is totally up to you to decide what to do. but since there were terms that you had agreed on, you are now entitled to sell the collateral since he didn't honor his commitment. especially since it was for only a couple of hours and it is late 24 hours.

It is better to wait at the moment as he might be unavailable or not able to check your messages.Well I think you should wait for another 24 hours and keep a check on last active of his temporary account and then take necessary action.

So i think that he took the loan for gambling purpose. Am futher checking some more details and will let you know.

I never got any valid signed message from him. Also I think it's of no use. The details of our transaction was clearly sated on the thread he made ao evwrything is transparent and evwryone in the forum that I am the one in hold of the collateral.

He didn't gave a time when he will repay it but he did said that the loan is only or a couple of hours so I am expectin that it will not pass up to 24 hours.

Well yea, It was my mistake in giving the guy the loan. He said it was for trading purposes but then I never hecke which wallet he used.

I think account was sold in between as there is long posting gap and also account started posting up from March 15, 2016 and posted two new address out of which one he staked (here)

And other one from which he asked loan was a rollin.io address.However I may be wrong but these things are indicating that only.

You should have gotten a signed message from him and discussed the term for the collateral to be sold. As far as I can observe, there has been no suspicious password changes from September 2015 to March 2016. It doesn't seem like the account has been sold recently. Give the user 1-2 weeks and attempt to contact him during the period before selling the account

OP, every time you take a bitcointalk account into escrow you need to do a couple of checks in order to not receive an account that is worthless for you at the end. Of course the account needs to have a worth a good bunch more than the loan is worth.

In future check these things first to prevent damage.

People are stupid around bitcointalk.The moment they earn 2 cents from campaigns or contests they want to double their amounts in no time,hence they end up in such situations.At the time of giving the loans ,you should have asked the same advice to people instead of running to double up your coins.Learn to deal with your own shit for making stupid decisions.Who freakin gives the loan without signed messages ? The account is getting a neutral feedback anyway.

3 days since the loan was taken and no response yet. I think it's okay to assume that he has no intentions on getting his account back.

I gave the loan not for the purpose of using it in sig campaign. I don't know about your judgement but I don't like the way you put your opinion in my thread and how you throw out those shit.
Also I asked kindly for anyone in here not to give the account any feedback. If you didn't like what I did then stay out of it. I was trying to fix the situation and I already know that I did something stupid and I don't need another stupid person in here to give the account a feedback that can only makes the scenenario worse.
