ERC20 Token ICO - never ever

i won't never ever join a ICO with ERC20 Tokens. i tried SONM and Encrypto Tel.

both ICOs where a complete mess.

now i am trying to get out.

Well, that was to be expected in my honest opinion. No dev put real effort into an ETH ICO so far, all of the recent ones especially were taking advantage of the bull run Ethereum had. Not many devs are sitting on an abundance of funds but no real plan to move on other than buzzwords.

There is actually only two possibilities for tokens : Ethereum ERC20 and Waves, and from the two I largely prefer ERC20 ones.

I don't know what happened Sonm.
But EncryptoTel thing is not related. Incent's Blockswap technology caused that mess.
"our BlockSwap service was attacked and ultimately hacked." that's what I got from the issue update.

It's just as easy to scam with the use of any kind of ICO even the ones that are not ETH based.

99.99% of these ICO's tokens are going to end up worthless 

yes, thats the sad truth. it is really to easy this way. you don't need nothing to build up. you not even have to clone an existing coin.

Entryptotel was with WAVES. I think its just the INCENT swap that made it worse and if the team just stick to one blockchain like it has to, the issues probably don't happen. It may take some time before they be resolve. I'm a bit suspicious whether they do it deliberately though.

Don't give up on Sonm just yet, true no instant profit but there were a mass of people that dumped coins from the pre-ICO. Any positive news/developments come to light and it will jump like they all do.

They said upgrading is necessary for security reason why there is the need for upgrading. The issue with SONM I think was just with the bonuses for the investors. But aren't ERC tokens all upgrading too like ETHBITS did are are they just simply doing it for scamming?

I think the only ones with real future right now are Status (SNT) and AdEx (ADX)

Yep, I stayed away from these ones as it got to be a trend for every single ICO to be via ETH and to be honest I'm not a massive fan of ETH.

Encryptotel Tokens were on both platforms Waves and ERC20.  They were hacked because of a third party. Nothing ETT could do.
When they were hacked, the company were going to issues new tokens from their pocket so investors make no loss.
