I have already installed version 0.3.21
what should I do to upgrade to 0.3.22?
just download and install at the same folder where 0.3.21 is?
will my money disappear?

It don't make we normal people who are not geeks feel safe to use bitcoin, at least now.

If you see any of my suggestions useful, please donate me. http://btc.to/ec

Back up your wallet.dat before updating. It should be fine, but backups never hurt. Then download new client, uninstall the old one and install the new one. That's it.

Btw, geeks ARE normal people - the rest of you are a bit weird  Wink

Will bitcoin.exe run if the wallet.dat file is missing?

If you copy the wallet with 1 bit coin in it and then someone sends you a bit coin....should you overwrite the copy you have?

Where is the data stored for the transactions in the wallet?

Thx (anyone)

Yes it will - it will generate a new wallet.dat
Don't understand the question
Info about transactions is stored in the blockchain(blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat) not in the wallet.dat. wallet.dat contains your pub/priv keys

I will do so, thanks. I had read that securing your wallet biz and it was a little confusing. I've been at this a little while now so it's probably time to give it another go.

Thx again.
