Can't believe this thread is so dead... Rare Pepes are coming back in a big way thanks to attention brought from the $PEPE ETH shit token. I'll chalk it up to the forum being largely dead. Most activity has migrated to Twitter, Discord and Telegram.

Rare Pepes are the first community-driven artistic collection of tokens. $PEP is the ~100th iteration of Pepe. There's a huge difference.

There are definitely too many iterations, but none of them owns its own blockchain/network. But if I am wrong I would be happy if you tell me so?

yea, I am well aware of it and even own some. This chain is definitely out dated if I am not wrong, at least the majority of the links do not work (official website, wallet link and so on). One of the explorer links do work, but here its about a PoS Coin called "Meme" rather than "Pepe" (I know the story behind it, but still..) Besides this, I think you are also well aware of the fact, that the project relaunched as an ERC-20 Token (Ethereum) in 2023 - why would they do that if they have their own Network? I guess not because of the low fees.. Even if their Network would be still online: where could I buy the "Meme" coin?

Besides this: If you ask me pepecoin.io has the coolest website I have seen so far in the crypto space, also their based.ai website is really cool. But if you dive into the project (have you done so?) you will notice that there are some shady things going on.

The goal of Memecoins about Pepe the frog should be a pepe based economy, right? I think the ultimate goal for achieving this should be a pepe themed copy of bitcoin. And this is exactly pepecoin.org which is part of the bitcoin family. But please, correct me if I'm wrong about it.

Everything with no inherent value trends to zero. Rare Pepes have inherent value as a collectible.

Today, there's literally 1 million tokens being launched every week. That means there's 99 tokens being launched every minute, or 1.65 tokens every second. I get your coin is its own blockchain, and that's cool. But without constant marketing and attention, it will probably fall to the wayside, along with everything else. That doesn't mean that artists and whoever else shouldnt use your coin to make Pepescriptions and whatnot, I'm just not personally interested.

I know the value of rare Pepes, and I love them. But I think rare Pepes can definitely coexist with Pepecoin.org. Still, it would be cool if Pepinals were used instead of Ethereum NFTs—but that’s another discussion.

Yup, you’re totally right, and I appreciate that you acknowledge how we stand out as a coin in a crypto market currently flooded with tokens.

Currently, we’re trying to do exactly this: unite and shift the entire Pepe community (which is HUGE) under one umbrella with its own blockchain: Pepecoin.org. I believe that only then can we flourish the way we’re meant to and become stronger than ever before.
