Amazing. I was looking forward to this moment. On this webpage for those that don't still know, they make a compilation of news that are about how Bitcoins dead, how Bitcoin is doomed, how it is a failed experiment... in general, how Bitcoin is done for. And guess what: We are celebrating death number 100!

www.bitcoinobituaries.com

And of course, it had to be yet another smartass CEO !

John Biggs is CEO of stealth bitcoin startup Freemit and a former editor at TechCrunch. His work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Gizmodo and Men's Health.

Those idiots will never learn I guess.

So how are we celebrating 100th anniversary?

I will party for sure, and even if bitcoin dies 1000th time I really don't care as I know bitcoin has a potential to rise again, and bitcoin is doing it successfully since the past.

Biggs is an idiot!
I have seen severals of his panels with the Winklebros!
Can not take this guy serious to be honest.
In terms of celebrating this 100th death of Bitcoin I have no clue how or why to celebrate it.
Maybe buy a few more coins and smile?! Grin

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking that I typed Bitcoin. I think I was going to type "Bitcoin goes defunct for the 100th" or something like that and ended up typing that lol.

Just another no name CEO that hasn't contributed to anything that would make Bitcoin better in any shape or form. Well I just ignore most CEOs these days, unless they are part time coders and share fundamental views for Bitcoin's well being such as privacy and decentralization.

Yeah, this nonsense is bouncing like a ping-pong ball.
One douchebag after another is trying to be controversial, nothing more.
"Its irrelevant what they say, important that they do - there is no such thing as bad publicity"
This is the rule that this kind of people follow. Just to be considered active, just to pretend
that they know what is going on in the business.
I don't listen to them, I have my own truth, at least some form of it.
And so should You. Old CEO fag know shits Smiley

We are all to be congratulated! Our haters declared our death 100 times! Important milestone. I guess it's true what they say, if you want to make enemies, try to change something Smiley

How many times will you say bitcoin will die. I agree with you it can never die.
It  will stay forever.

Things are death when they don't wake up again. So how can people say Bitcoin is dead when there is still activity.

I am sure bitcoin will NEVER DIE.
BItcoin will be there over ten years, twenty years ....
Otherwise bitcoin should have been dead already a few years ago.
I am a believer.

...

As a relative n00b to The Wonderful World of Bitcoin even I have seen several death announcements, and I have wondered if "this was it" re the end of Bitcoin.

It looks like that even with a divided leadership and development teams that Bitcoin is stable and will continue its growth.

As I have speculated on other threads, perhaps the thing to watch is merchant acceptance of BTC.  If we see growth there, it will likely bring in more users, particularly if new Bitcoin-related projects come to fruition.

Bbecause before nursing butthurt, it's important to understand that bitcoinobituaries.com in OP is a clickbait site.
In the linked article, http://www.coindesk.com/land-1000-bitcoin-wallets/ , the word "dead" appears exactly 0 (zero) times.

Please read the linked article from Coindesk, the leading Bitcoin "news site," find out what (if anything) you disagree with, and get back to me.
