hey everyone.

I have been trying to set up my LTC mining rig since Friday.
I have gone from win 7 ultimate to ubuntu and now even XP and i get the same errors.

This is my hardware.
1 x radeon HD 5970 dual core 2GB (sapphire)
AMD x4 @ 2.5GHZ
4GB ram
160GB drive
Asus mother board
850 watt antec psu

when i load up cgminer or Reaper GPU I get the same problem.
The screen either freezes or goes black.I have had a few blue-screens as well with the following error.

"atikpmag.sys" or something along those lines caused the BSOD crash.

The thing is I have 2 of these cards and they both do the same thing.
I have also tested them both in another machine. (bulldozer 6100FX , 16gb ram asus extreme 3 ect)

Same errors.I have also tried other drivers like 12.8
I have also done clean installs with CCC or HDMI audio driver.

The OS`s that I have tried are as follows.
Win7 Ultimate 64
Ubuntu 64 - will only mine on 1 core and stale is at 100%
XP 32

The cars run games great with both cores active for hours on either rig setup.

I tried CGMINER before and got a crash error saying something like "HW error" it then crashed before I could read the rest.

Has anyone had these cards before? If you have run into tyhe same problem as me please help.

More info.
I have not OCed the cards in anyway.

CGminer setup -

litecoin.conf

worksize 256

If you need anymore info or have advice that would be great. the litecoin.conf file is what I just currently tried and the system rebooted.

Please help
