Hi All,

Does anybody have a clear idea of this error

BIOS screen saying "please install the psu's 4-pin power cables to the 4-pin power connector on your motherboard".

I have 1 psu - 1050W and have power to both MO molex.   One GPU ok in either x1 or 16 sockets but when i add another gpu i get this above error in the bios so stopping me from booting.

have ribbon powered risers.

Set to gen2 and default to onboard graphic card.

Any Suggestions?

cheers

Nick

Cut your powered risers and you don't need to plug those 2 molex connectors into the motherboard.

Next time when you see the message, just press the "N" key and it won't show up anymore.

you need to install the second molex connector, oen near the cpu the other near the gpu, it's easy to spot, you need to do this opnly if you have more than 2 gpu, then just press n to remove that message for the next time

Do you have the 2x4-pin ATX plugged in near the CPU?

If it's not that there's two molex connectors, not just one on the motherboard.

However, I've never plugged in any molex connectors into the motherboards as I use powered USB risers and I'd highly recommend ditching the ribbon risers and using powered USB risers yourself (without molex to the board).

Not your keys, not your coins!

Well,

Those mobo's need extra voltage ONLY when you're using NON powered risers.

If you're using powered risers you do NOT have to connect those molex connectors.

If however at start, it stlil gives you that message, you have a faulty riser.

Good luck!

Next time when you see the message, just press the "N" key and it won't show up anymore.

That is right in most occasions. But some times the system will not start if you just have one molex connected.
