Well last year we had some kind of pool saying that the faucets are damaging the bitcoin ,before faucets were a way to share bitcoin with others,nowadays several projects and companies are offering better values making the use of faucets almost be over.Nowadays who owns a faucet has several problems being the first one the bots that are taking out the balances from faucets making them close in the medium,short time.People loosing interest into doing something with low payouts as they can earn at signature ot others ways better ammounts.If you set a big reward you will get a lot costumers into a short period making you be at top 100k alexa websites,how to balance your income with the payments that your costumers will ask in the short time.Some people just focus into the claim button do captcha they forget that faucets are two sides admin and ads and costumer and his or her clicks at those ads.Soo do you believe in 2017 there will steing being soo many faucets as now?I see several new faucets but the most of them dont last even 3 months since i were watching,there are few faucets alive and making proof .

I agree on you that bots are destroying faucets, most of the faucet owners don't know very well how to prevent this type of traffic that basically takes your satoshis and don't generate anything with ads. However, if you can "clean" this type of traffic by seeing how the users behaviour and claims to your site and have most of your traffic from real organic traffic it can be very interesting. This process usually takes time, money and lot's of learning on the way.

I disagree that faucets are bad for Bitcoin. It is one of the best gateways in discovering and playing with this great technology if you can't afford to buy bitcoins and have some spare time. Specially in 3rd world countries, a few extra daily satoshis can make a difference.

I think faucets just worth if the owner has knowledge about informatic and programming to create his own design, system, etc... So he can make manual payments preventing bots and hackers. Default faucets are easy to steal, so it's not good.

The problem is ads network. Only Adsense pay decent amounts for anyone, and if they are banning faucets, this is a big problem. I still believe that faucets banned didn't have enough text content or abused banners allowed amount.

No the problems arent the networks or adsense potencial income,the thing is all people wanna earn a big ammount doing faucets that takes less then 1 minute.People need to be realistic faucets need traffic,and support as long people do that faucets stays alive and able to make some profit otherwise makes no sense to run a faucet to loose bitcoin.Sure nowadays people considering them as a waste of time,mostly because signatures campaings where you get huge income compared to faucets,but main problem are really the bots people making them and selling ,they are able to profit,the developers hitting the faucet owners.

As rewards drop due to bots and cheats, anti bot links appear etc. legitimate users quit using faucets, and they keep being profitable only for those who cheat, which in turn produces more anti-cheat measures and rewards dropping, making more legitimate users quit and on and on.

That has been much the case for me, I have quit using them as I used to, due to the fact that the rewards are much lower, the time required to fill them much higher, and many of them block me for using a proxy with no cheat intention.

Well all that has faucet need and were forced to put several ways to protect their faucets,raising the security levels to avoid being pay someone that is a bot,i understand your position.Sure faucets are paying low ammounts,but are paying ,we are in war with boths and looks like we will loose against them in the short and medium period,soo its bad for all use the bots to collect satoshis,but people doing that ,soo till the day that faucets will be just autobots meaning the reward will be 1 satoshis every week,this will be the reward if the bots keep increasing.

People have been saying that for years. They've been wrong every year. This year is going to be no different. I don't think you understand how the faucet industry works... And I hate to say this, but neither do more than half of the admins that decide they want their own faucets. They just think there is money to be made by simply operating a faucet and making revenue from the ads.

Nope. So much planning and budgeting needs to go into launching faucets, and admins rarely take the time to do this. Most of the new faucets shut down before they're even able to get their first revenue payment.

THAT'S the problem. It's all the little sites out there that fuck it up for the bigger ones. The little ones that come and go and create "scams" of sites that stop paying after a mere couple of weeks.

It's the little sites that fuck up the AdSense for the big sites. The littles ones get banned from Google's AdSense so frequently, that occasionally, some big faucets feel the wrath of the banhammer, as well.
