I was going to post/respond to Lauda in the original thread but didn't want to get Lauda all twisted up over some hyper-perceived notion that "off topic" actually matters in this place LOL.

So I created a new thread about Sig Spamming which is definitely a Meta related topic .

@Lauda

Sig spam? Are you serious? You with your repeat condescending useless nanny postings ad nauseum concerning the non-existent rules and proper forum etiquette are the definition of sig spamming.

But since you're familiar with the definition of "Sig Spamming" I will leave you with another one.

Hm? This is nothing new, I've been a participant of various signature campaigns (usually by custom deals) for years (since Q4 2013) and I've been actively fighting signature spam and campaigns for quite some time now (I'm not the only example). Did you not notice my (other) signatures before, or are you trying to say that my posts are of inadequate quality?

I was going to post/respond to Lauda in the original thread but didn't want to get Lauda all twisted up over some hyper-perceived notion that "off topic" actually matters in this place LOL.
That's just a far fetched dream that, unfortunately, only a few share.

I'm not sure what you think is hypocritical in my case; that I'm fighting signature campaigns while being part of one? I'm not the only example of such.

Update 1:
My posting habits have not altered during periods in which I was not a participant in comparison to periods in which I was. If you've created this thread with the sole intent to attack me, then I'm sorry to inform you but it won't work and I'll ignore everything after this post.

Cheerio,
~Lauda.

Uh oh....you're failing the first part of the Global Moderator Test!

You're not supposed to let forum members get under your skin like that.

But yes, you're repetitious trivial post on every little nit picky hallucinated forum rules violation is definitely giving off the appearance of sig spamming.

and yes I agree with you, your sig spamming is nothing new.

Just no one has called you out on it.

Response to Lauda updating their post.

~Lauda.

The purpose isn't to attack you per se, it's to call you out on your hypocrisy.

and simply ignoring the issue verses intelligent debate is tantamount to a confession.

Eh you did not notice him posting in a similar quantity/way while being in the previous campaign(that was on pause until yesterday)? Why the new thread?

Edit: In case its coming, I don't like barking this down every thread I post but I get paid a fixed amount regardless of whether I post.

Sig Spamming is just a fact of life around here.

I was actually one of the first back in 2011 to take it on.

My main point with Lauda that whining about Sig Spamming, while Sig Spamming is like

A chain smoker leading an anti-smoking campaign.

Lauda needs to STFU about Sig Spamming until they have no longer wear and engage in sig spamming.

The posts being spam is your opinion, and I don't see anything wrong with having a signature and doing/posting how you would normally would. You know, when you accuse someone of spamming provide examples of posts where the "accused" seems to over-extend the discussion for farming posts or is posting nothing of value that would help the OP/the quoted poster or is simply posting short mostly off-topic posts in large quantity

At any rate, this thread belongs in Rep. I would report it but I'd rather not take chances with my recently gained 99% accuracy Tongue

I'd like to ask OP a question:
I manage a signature campaign, am I allowed to participate in the discussion about signature spam,
or do I have to either shut up or drop the campaign(s) I manage?

I smell someone getting butt hurt of not getting into Jetwin's signature campaign and just moaning away with his alt accounts. Roll Eyes
Now they're also attacking Jetwin of not being probably fair! With no proof of course.

Mmm. Smells like stale chicken BTW.

I think the point of this thread is that Lauda was complaining about making low value posts with a paid signature in the very same post that was a low value post with a signature.

To clarify, many people with paid signatures (apparently including Lauda), tell people to lock their thread "to prevent signature spam" after the OP of a thread says that their issue is resolved, however these posts in themselves are worthless posts as they contribute zero to the conversation and are clearly made in an effort to increase their post count. If a thread should be locked but is not then it should be reported to a moderator and a moderator with appropriate authority can lock it.

This thread belongs in Meta.

It is not about Lauda's repuation of which I have no opinion.

It is entirely about posting sig spam which is a Meta Forum post.

Okay, since this "isn't" an attempt to attack me, I'll participate until either it turns foul or attracts drama.

A chain smoker leading an anti-smoking campaign.
So you're saying that a person can't be anti-smoking and enjoy the action while it is still available? I'd say otherwise.

However these posts in themselves are worthless posts as they contribute zero to the conversation and are clearly made in an effort to increase their post count.
Of course they are. You do realize that posts of 'zero-usefulness' do not get counted towards the campaign?
This might be one of  the rare (or only) cases in which I did not answer OP directly (prior), because when I do that I tell them to lock the thread in the same post if their problems are resolved. Should we create a thread for each time that someone does this, or for each time that Lauda does this? If someone has a problem with something that I did/am doing, then the first approach is to contact me directly. I don't bite, but my cat might scratch.

I manage a signature campaign, am I allowed to participate in the discussion about signature spam,
or do I have to either shut up or drop the campaign(s) I manage?
Apparently you aren't, stop spamming!  Angry

BitcoinEXpress, I think this accusation is unsubstantiated. Mods do a ton of work that we never get to hear about, Lauda in specific spends a lot of time in this forum, aside of moderating, he's also contributing to discussions by posting. You too have spent enough time in this forum, you know what spam is really well. If you call Lauda's posts spam then I think that you need to reevaluate your standards, either that, or stop being cheesy.

It's hard to read when people living in Australia or America don't understand that you don't use "you're" here. This bugs me more than a mod participating in a sig campaign (I don't see any spam?!), which seems perfectly natural to me.
