Hey,

I'll try to keep this short.  I have been using Electrum for a few months now (3 - 4)  And I haven't had any problems at all, and it was becoming if not already my favorite wallet.  I tried opening it about a week ago, and it opens, but I am not able to see the actual screen/UI/Window that is the actual application.  For some weird reason, it shows a taskbar icon, and I can hover over it and it acts like any other application I have running, but when I click on it, I still don't get an actual window where I can us the app.  It also loads in the Tray, and I can see the Electrum icon, and when I hover over that I can see my balance.  And when I right click it I have the options of show/hide my wallet, or to close Electrum.  But still I never can get the actual window to show so I can use the app. I have completely uninstalled everything and reinstalled Electrum multiple times, and every time I still am having the same problem.  I have tried clicking on the executable file from different locations, or running it as an administrator as last ditch efforts and not knowing what else to do.  If someone could please help me I would greatly greatly appreciate it.  Thank you in advance!

I think I know what it is.
Go to run, type %APPDATA%\Electrum
If you see a file called "daemon", move it to the desktop (don't touch any other files).

I'm not sure what it does, I believe it's to inform the main app's GUI that it doesn't need to show since it's running in daemon mode.
Anyway, see if that does the trick.
As an alternative, move the folder %APPDATA%\Electrum to another folder (back it up just in case to another location), uninstall Electrum and install the latest version.
Restore from seeds. If you don't have them, copy the "wallets" sublfolder.
The idea here is to delete the blockchain files. I doubt it's this, I think it's the file above.
