Hi,

I wanted to try out Bitcoin and just play around a bit. So where is it save to buy it and keep it? Also, is https://de.cryptonator.com/api relyable or does anyone know a better API or Marketinfos? Or some nice analysis online tool?

Thanks Smiley

What county are you located in? With most regular exchanges some are legal and best in certain countries.  I would say there is not one that is best for entire world, it depends on location.

There are options like localbitcoins but you will pay higher.... and I like a good exchange better.  But if you let us know what country your in we chances are can give a much better idea of what exchanges are worth looking at for you.

On saving it look at good paper wallets, or hardware wallets.   Make sure good ideas for security when doing setting it up, as you want to make sure it's secure.  But for most cases don't store in exchange is good advice (there are exceptions like coinbase that has a insurance policy).

If your based in the states or any one of the other 31 countries they support I can also recommend Coinbase insofar as being fairly reliable.  Something to bear in mind, they do require quite a bit of personal information as they are fully KYC compliant so if your looking for a place to buy BTC without giving up your personal info, this ain't it.
