Hi,

I'm a newbie. I can run the mining program in my office where I don't need to pay the electricity bill. Wondering which is a better using graphic cards or a butterfly machine?

Thanks.

I hope you have permission to do that. I'd hate for you to get fired over mining bitcoins for the sake of a few bucks.

If its free electricity, it doesn't matter what you use are your margin is 100%.

I'd be careful about mining at work. It's probably not an authorized use of equipment that is not yours to begin with.

Erm, unless it's your own business or you have permission to do this it may be considered stealing electricity depending on local laws.

Forget the butterfly machines, you're unlikely to get hold of one for months - many months, if at all according to some.  With 'free' electricity GPU is surely the most effective depending on what hash rate you're trying to achieve, and if you can deal with the heat & noise.

Otherwise FPGA options available now like the the Enterpoint Cainsmore CM1s would be worthwhile looking at (cooler & quieter).

A company could easily call this theft and boot you  out. Same goes with mining on work machines.
